I would just like to express few thoughts and give a message to my friends and folks who feel and believe that our country is been divided on religious grounds & the current #NRC #CAA #CAB is draconian and unconstitutional in nature, please read further with an open mind and not just to reply and comment!
The documentation process that we follow in our lifecycle:
Birth Certificate: The very first document to authenticate our identity and nationality, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
School Leaving Certificate: A must required document to further pursue your high school and college education, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Graduation Degree: The document that defines your educational achievements and defines your career path, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Placements: All of the above documents with an additional document stating the above is true to your best knowledge and further attested, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Bank Account, Loans & Financial: All of the above documents with your income proof and so many other documents to get the loan sanctioned, basically loan against all the possible securities, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Marriage Affairs: All of the above documents, plus background check, plus extended family background check and finally marriage registration document for the marriage to get solicited! Universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Property and Accomodation Affairs: Bank Guarantee document, loan sanctioned document, leave and license registration document, Society NOC document for tenants, Local Police NOC document plus all the personal documents issued by the authorities, and finally you become a legal owner or a tenant to own or lease a piece of land in your own country, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Travel: Bus, train & flight tickets to authenticate your travel, would you encourage or accept people traveling without ticket or people sitting on your designated seats? Passport and visa documents to authenticate your identity for traveling abroad, universally accepted, not questioned by anyone yet?
Migration Laws: Anyone and everyone who desires to migrate, needs all of the above documents for their cases to be considered, still it is purely at the discretion of the authorities & their respective country laws. Ask yourself if you can easily migrate to UK, Europe, UAE or USA without any documentation? Again the process is universally accepted but not questioned by anyone yet?
Death Certificate: The last document used to authenticate that you r no more existing in this world, all of the above documents become null and void the moment this document is issued!
From our birth to our death, we are an entity and an identity defined by our documentation and there is no escape to it.
When we blindly follow these norms to progress in the society we live in so why so much of Hue and Cry if the government wants to implement #NRC #CAA #CAB? If you are a legal and law abiding citizen then you have nothing to fear and for the rest please get your act right and live gracefully and not illegally!
For those who think the current government is playing divide and rule politics basis our religion then please let me know who created India and Pakistan at first place?
For those who think India is intolerant then pls visit Islamic and Catholic states to get the real picture. Please try to show your secularism there and see how many come forward to stand next to you or even acknowledge your thoughts socially.
I am a proud Indian and if the government wants to conduct such an exercise then I am more then willing to co-operate like I have been co-operating all these years to have my documents in place.
It doesn't matter whether it is BJP, CONGRESS or any legitimate elected party. There is no harm in figuring out your legitimate citizens and immigrants (legal or illegal) and I am pretty sure that the government would have their own reasons, be it security, grants, consessions, etc...
I strongly believe in the concept of " Atithi Devo Bhava" provided the Atithi is arriving through my front door and not sneaking in my house unnoticed and uncalled!
